Guided by a strong set of corporate values and a Code of Conduct that date back to the 1940s, Granite has built a legacy of financial, social and environmental responsibility in the communities in which we serve.

Granite’s vision is to be one of America’s leading infrastructure firms.

Granite’s backlog of work totaled $1.8 billion at September 30, 2011.

Granite builds projects that improve the quality of life, connect people and communities, and create social value.

Government officials ranked Granite as their number one preferred contractor for road and highway projects and number two for transportation projects.

Our Customers

Our customers include hundreds of public and private sectors owners across the United States. At Granite, our customers are also our partners. It is our belief that successful projects begin with successful partnerships.

Our customers in the public sector are many of the nation’s authorities and agencies, including departments of transportation; tollway, transit, and port authorities; school and irrigation districts; and the federal government. Our customers in the private sector include many of the country’s largest homebuilders and residential and commercial developers.

Within our vertically integrated businesses, we typically use half of what we produce on our own projects, and we sell the remainder to many of the same public- and private-sector customers who utilize our construction services. Key customers for our construction materials include departments of transportation, city and county agencies, water and irrigation districts, and local and regional construction companies.

“Granite’s project management capabilities, including their focus on safety, are outstanding. Granite always strives to go the extra-mile to provide the highest quality and best project possible. This is a contractor we will work with again.”—Julie Martinez, US Army Corps of Engineers

“Granite is an outstanding partner and contractor. Whether serving as the project manager or as a member of a team, rest assured, Granite will get the job done right."—John Pierre Menvielle, board of director and vice president of Imperial Irrigation District
