In 1978 GRANITE Construction Company opened the Central Valley Branch to better serve the residents and businesses of the Merced, Mariposa, Fresno, Kings and Tulare counties. However, GRANITE'S involvement with the Central Valley extends much farther back in time.

In the 1930's the company built much of the original road system in Yosemite National Park. Based on our long history , we look forward to serving the infrastructure and aggregate needs of the Central Valley for many years to come.

Our Fresno office is also home to our professional aggregate sales staff. We can meet your aggregate needs from one ton to thousands. GRANITE Construction's Central Valley Branch has received the National Asphalt Pavement Association's Diamond Achievement Commendation for excellence in plant/site operations. Our on-site quality control division assures that all material meets your specifications. We currently operate two asphalt plants and one aggregate crushing plant. In addition, Desert Aggregates, a wholly owned subsidiary of GRANITE Construction Incorporated, operates asphalt and aggregate plants in Ducor, near Porterville, California.
