Granite Construction Awarded $24 Million Highway Reconstruction Project in California
WATSONVILLE, Calif., Dec 09, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE:GVA) today announced that
Granite Construction Company has been awarded a $24 million contract for
the reconstruction of thirteen miles of Highway 101 near San Jose,
California. The project was awarded by the California Department of
Transportation and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Scope of the project includes grinding and repaving the north- and
southbound lanes of Highway 101 between Silicon Valley Road and the
Guadalupe River Bridge in Santa Clara County.
The project is scheduled to begin May 2010 with an estimated completion
date of August 2010.
