Three-month, full-time, and co-op internships are available for fall, spring, and summer semesters.
When do internship applications open?
Granite typically begins recruiting for summer internships during the fall semester. We encourage students to apply early, as opportunities may vary by location, business unit, and hiring needs.
Can I apply to more than one internship?
Yes. You are welcome to apply for multiple internship opportunities that align with your interests, experience, and career goals. Be sure to tailor your application to the positions that best match your skills and background.
What does the interview process look like?
The interview process may vary by role but generally includes an application review followed by one or more interviews with recruiters, hiring managers, or team members. We're interested in learning about your experience, strengths, career interests, and what excites you about joining Granite.
Do I need prior experience to apply?
No. While previous work, internship, or project experience can be helpful, many successful Granite interns are selected based on their potential, academic achievements, leadership experience, and eagerness to learn. We look for motivated students who are ready to contribute and grow professionally.
Will I work on real projects or just support tasks?
At Granite, interns are treated as employees from day one and are encouraged to contribute to real projects. While some administrative or support responsibilities may be part of the role, interns are given opportunities to take ownership of meaningful work, apply their skills, and make a direct impact on their team.
What will I be working on as an intern?
Interns contribute to meaningful work that supports their team and business objectives. Assignments vary by department but may include project support, research, data analysis, process improvement initiatives, field or office activities, and participation in team projects.
Will I have a mentor or manager?
Yes. Interns are paired with a manager and typically work closely with experienced team members who provide guidance, support, and coaching throughout the internship. Granite also promotes a strong mentoring culture to help employees and interns learn, grow, and build meaningful professional relationships
