Celebrating Safety: Granite Honored at 2025 AGC of California CONSTRUCT Awards

Granite has been recognized for exceptional safety performance at the 2025 AGC of California CONSTRUCT Awards. Our team took home two prestigious honors: the Safety on a High Hazard Project Award for outstanding work on the LAX Runway Rehabilitation Project, and the Construction Safety Excellence Award for maintaining a top-tier construction safety program across all California operations.

The successful completion of the LAX project, managed by our South Coast Region and supported by colleagues across the company, demonstrated true collaboration, discipline, and commitment. Completed under strict regulations, the project saw no incursions, setting a benchmark for safety in high-hazard environments.

Granite's California operations team completed one million work hours without an incident - a first in Granite’s century-long history! This incredible accomplishment highlights our dedication to safety on every job site, every day, across all projects and regions. Bill Moore VP, Dave Hulverson SVP and Craft Professional team member Liam Wilson impressed the judges in showcasing Granite’s top tier safety programs, STCKY and innovative initiatives like Granite Guard.
