Granite Guam Honored with 2025 Pro Patria Award
Granite Guam has been recognized with the 2025 Pro Patria Award, one of the highest honors presented by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a program of the U.S. Department of Defense.
The award was presented during an ESGR recognition ceremony on August 4, 2026, and accepted by Marjune Padigos, Construction Manager. Granite Guam was nominated by Staff Sergeant Brian Barcinas of the Guam Air National Guard for its exceptional support of employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve.
The Pro Patria Award recognizes employers that go above and beyond to support service members through flexible workplace policies, military leave accommodations, family support, and a culture that values military service. According to the award inscription, Granite Guam was recognized for its “outstanding service to the national defense through continuing support of the National Guard and Reserve.”
“This recognition is a testament to Granite Guam’s commitment to supporting those who serve our nation,” said Marjune Padigos. “We are honored to receive this award and proud of the military members and veterans who contribute to our team every day. Their leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence strengthen both our workforce and our community.”
Granite Guam has a long history of partnering with military and federal agencies across the region while supporting employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. The company’s commitment helps service members meet their military obligations while continuing to grow their civilian careers.
The award ceremony brought together representatives from ESGR, the Guam National Guard, military leadership, and community partners to recognize employers dedicated to supporting service members. Granite Guam was honored alongside other military and community leaders for its contributions to workforce support and military readiness.
Receiving the Pro Patria Award reflects our commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement, while reinforcing its support for the men and women who serve both Guam and the nation.
