The Associated General Contractors of America’s Nevada Chapter (AGC) has recognized Granite’s Nevada Region with two prestigious honors: the 2024 Projects in Northern Nevada Achieving Construction Leadership Excellence (PINNACLE) Award in the Contractor’s Excellence – Public Sector Under $10 Million category for its North Virginia Street project, and the Best Overall Safety Record for Contractors Over 500,000 Man-Hours.

Contractor’s Excellence – Public Sector Under $10 Million

Granite earned the Contractor’s Excellence award for its outstanding work on the North Virginia Street project in Reno, Nevada. This recognition highlights Granite’s leadership in Northern Nevada’s construction industry and the project team’s excellence in innovation, execution, and community impact.

Best Overall Safety Record for Contractors Over 500,000 Man-Hours

Granite was also recognized for its exceptional safety performance. The Nevada Region completed 2024 with zero OSHA-recordable injuries—a testament to the region’s deeply embedded safety culture. This achievement reflects the strength of frontline leadership, particularly among the superintendent team, a robust onboarding process, and a company-wide commitment to safety at every level.

“These awards reflect the dedication and professionalism of our Nevada Region teams,” said Chris Burke “We’re proud to be recognized for both our project excellence and our unwavering commitment to safety.”
