Granite Subsidiary Awarded $11 Million Pavement Preservation Contract in Texas

WATSONVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Granite (NYSE:GVA) announced today that Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Granite, has been awarded an $11 million pavement preservation contract by the City of Amarillo, Texas.

Scope of work includes pavement maintenance for approximately 440 lane miles on both residential and arterial roads throughout the City of Amarillo, equating to approximately 25 percent of the City's road system. Seal coat (chip seal) and microsurfacing treatments will be used to help extend the life of the existing pavement.
